Denison Mines’ Wheeler River Project takes a progressive, environmentally responsible approach to uranium mining.
The Wheeler River Project was renamed to communicate how their process was redefining how mining uranium is done. “See how we are Redefining Mining” is a bold statement that adds curiosity and a call to action. As design lead I developed the visual strategy and guided the design of digital and out-of-home campaigns that directed audiences to a dedicated landing page (redefiningmining.ca). The goal was to communicate Denison Mines’ full-cycle approach—showing how people and the environment are considered before, during, and after extraction.
The campaign combined clear, engaging visuals with concise messaging to make complex processes accessible and relevant to local communities. It generated 3 million digital impressions, raising awareness and building local support for Denison Mines’ sustainable approach to mining.
